2023 Nehemiah Action

Are you attending this year’s Nehemiah Action? You should be! It is important for UUCP to show our support for JUST Pensacola’s Affordable Housing and Adult Civil Citations Initiatives. We do that by showing up at the Nehemiah Action.
At this event, we will be taking on issues of Criminal Justice and Affordable Housing in our community. This is the largest and most important meeting of the year for Justice United Seeking Transformation (JUST) Pensacola. We expect more than 1,200 people to come out for justice this year. This is when we ask our public officials to make specific commitments for action, based on the solutions researched and developed by the organization.
When: Monday, April 24th at 6:00 PM (Doors Open at 5:00)
Where: First Baptist Church of Warrington, 105 Gulf Beach Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32507

The goal is to have 1200 people at the Nehemiah Action. Please come and encourage friends and family (the kids, too) to join you. Paula and Penny will have tickets at church this Sunday. This is our way of keeping track of the turnout associated with UUCP. (If you won’t be in church on Sunday, register here.)

Sign-In
○ Your presence matters, so although the event is completely free we need each attendee to have a ticket!

○ Tickets are available from clergy and justice ministry network members of our congregations.

○ Tickets must have the information (name, phone number, email address, etc) completed.

○ Those who did not get a ticket in advance will go to a designated table in front of the sanctuary to receive one and fill it out.

 Seating

○ Look for a sign with the name of the congregation that invited you and sit in that section of the Sanctuary.

○ If you are not with a congregation, feel free to sit anywhere- we will have a section specifically for guests.

Agenda – You have a choice:

○ We will have agenda packets available when you sign in.

Parking

○ Please carpool, when possible, to the Nehemiah Assembly to ease any parking challenges.

○ If you are able to walk, we ask that you leave parking spots closer to the gathering site for those who may have more limited mobility.

○ Parking-Lot Directly in front of the sanctuary will be reserved for Vans and Buses as well as for people with difficulty walking.
