Guest Presenter: Dr. Jacqueline Garrick, Masters in Social Work and Doctorate in Professional Studies.
Giraffes stand tall and stick their necks out when they see something wrong. Dr Jacqueline Garrick chose the Giraffe as a mascot for Whistleblowers, who do just that. She is founder of Whistleblowers of America and wrote “Be a Giraffe” as a mantra for right doing and to educate people of all ages especially the young who are our future leaders. She has found that the negative affects of whistleblowing impacts each person and their families. She seeks to empower children as well as adults. “There is corruption in many places in our world. Our homes, schools and workplaces need to find pathways for important conversations about ethical behavior, character development and a personal code of conduct.”
Dr. Garrick will have books available for purchase after the service. Book sales benefit “Workplace of America” which is a nonprofit dedicated to whistleblower mental health and peer support. International Paper made the printing of this book possible.
