Stirring Our Moral Imagination

From our earliest days, Americans are led to believe that we are autonomous individuals, free of moral obligations or community attachments. Our UU faith, however, is rooted in covenant, which expresses our commitments to one another in an interconnected society. As this nation experiences a moral crisis of greed, hatred, and violence, we UUs are called to engage our moral imagination and values while building another world of vibrant, strong communities capable of courage and mutual care.
Our congregation’s involvement with the JUST Pensacola interfaith initiative is just one example of how we activate our moral imagination in pursuit of a better world. This talk will explore several challenges and opportunities, including our participation in JUST Pensacola’s upcoming Nehemiah Action on Tuesday, April 28, 6pm, at First Baptist Church of Warrington.
This service will include a “New Member Ceremony”
