Like “mom” and “apple pie”  the word “love” seems to be accepted as unquestionably a good thing.  “Standing on the Side of Love” is in competition with “Spirit of Life” for the most sung UU “hymn”.  Even our president claims regularly, via tweet or speech or aside, to love someone or some thing or some group.  Who could argue with that? Well, I will in this contrarian take on America’s most misused four letter word.
