From Our New Minister, Rev. Alice Syltie

September always feels like the beginning of something new for me. I don’t know if it is the deeply ingrained academic calendar that schools and UU churches adhered to for so long, or our natural connection to the rhythm of the seasons. Our Jewish neighbors and friends will celebrate the Jewish New Year, or High Holy Days, a time for personal introspection and to consider the course for the future. It is an opportunity for a fresh start, a transition, which, in the best cases, can be energizing, even when accompanied by a bit of apprehension.

As we begin our work together, I am excited about the possibilities inherent in this new ministry. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you, find out what you are excited about and what you envision for your future as the Unitarian Universalist Church of Pensacola.
I hope our time together will move you forward in a direction that serves you as a congregation, as well as the higher purpose of Unitarian Universalism.

In Love and Hope,
Rev. Alice
