When a congregation looks forward to who and how it wants to be in the world, it is helpful to look back at the journey that brought it to the present day. Our Unitarian Universalist roots are deep within the tradition of liberal Christianity. Among the sources from which we draw are Jewish and Christian teachings, which call us to respond to God’s love by loving our neighbors as ourselves. How might our heritage and these teachings ground us and guide us in the divisive times we face today?
