Spring time and Easter is a time of hope; a time when life and dreams are reborn, or resurrected. In a year like we have had, coming out of the tomb seems an appropriate image. We have been enshrouded by loss, grief, and unrest, over which we had no control. As I imagine renewal and freeing ourselves, the image of dance comes to mind. Especially dancing when no one is watching. While we have not had control of much that held us captive this last year, some tombs we need to emerge from might be of our own making. This Sunday we ask ourselves, what holds us back from claiming our freedom to really LIVE and to dance our dances fully?
