The US Census Bureau has shortened the timeline to respond to the census, placing more barriers between our families and the resources we need for education, community development, healthcare, and public services. In this worldwide pandemic, our government is making it harder to get counted, not easier.
The data collected by the census determines the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives (a process called apportionment) and is also used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities. The census is mandated by the U.S. Constitution.
However, history has shown that we can do hard things.
So, please watch these videos to help ensure that all of us, including all of America’s marginalized populations are “100% Counted.”
Faith in Florida will continue the fight for a full and accurate census count. In the meantime, we ask you to spread the message that we need to
“Get Counted Now.”
Thank you to all of you for being a trusted partner in this historical moment.
