June 2026: From the President

Dear Beloved Congregation,

As June arrives, we find ourselves stepping fully into the warmth and brightness of summer. The days stretch longer, afternoon storms roll in with familiar Gulf Coast rhythm, and our world seems alive with movement, color, and possibility. June invites us outdoors — to gather, to celebrate, and to reconnect with one another and the wider community around us.

This month also brings Pride celebrations across our communities and nation. Pride is a reminder of the sacred worth and dignity of every person and of our ongoing commitment to love, inclusion, justice, and belonging. At the Unitarian Universalist Church of Pensacola, we celebrate the beauty and diversity of our LGBTQ+ siblings and reaffirm that all are welcome here exactly as they are. In a world that can often feel divided or uncertain, may we continue to be a place where compassion, affirmation, and courage flourish together.

Throughout June, our Sunday services will center around the themes of community, devotion, and humanism. Together, we will explore what it means to care deeply for one another, to remain devoted to our shared values, and to honor the humanity that connects us all. Whether through worship, conversation, music, or acts of service, these themes invite us to strengthen the bonds that sustain us and to reflect on how we show up for one another in both joyful and difficult times.

As always, I am grateful for this congregation and for the many ways each of you contributes to the life of our church. Your kindness, resilience, and dedication continue to shape this community into a place of warmth and hope. I encourage everyone to stay connected this month — attend a service, join a gathering, reach out to someone you haven’t seen in a while, or simply take a moment to appreciate the community we are building together.

May this June bring you moments of rest, celebration, meaningful connection, and renewed spirit.

With gratitude and warmth,

Crys Brockway, UUCP Board President
