March 13: Masks are Optional

By email vote on March 7, 2022, the Board approved the following:

MOTION:

That the Board approve full reopening of facilities, including rentals, and of activities, both on and off site, beginning Sunday, March 13, 2022, which includes food and beverage service, optional face masking for children and adults, and individual choice for social distancing and self-protection, as recommended by the Safer Congregation Team.

This motion was made based on the Team’s previously established guideline that food and beverage service resume and masking become optional when the transmission rate in Escambia County reaches 5% or lower.

The Board and the Safer Congregation Team work diligently to stay on top of the current data and guidelines, and to create the safest environment possible at our church – while balancing out the spiritual needs of our congregation (including fellowship and worshiping together).

Please continue to care for yourself and wear a mask in the church if you are most comfortable doing so. You are encouraged to communicate your personal needs to others, including the need for social distancing. The congregation is asked to respect any such needs when communicated.
