Carol Hemmye’s father, Jerome H. Hemmye, a retired professor of mechanical engineering and a resident of Azalea Trace, has passed on at the age of 92.  He taught as a professor at Western Michigan University and as an exchange professor or instructor at universities in Puerto Rico, Brazil and Mexico. He was also a ham radio operator for 78 years. A memorial service is planned to be held, but at a later date due to coronavirus constraints.
