Black History Month

This week we welcome a new speaker to the congregation. Derrick Scott, a native of Pensacola, comes with significant experience in community activism in Florida. He is a member of Florida Blue Key, Florida’s most prestigious Honorary UF Alumni Leadership Association. He grew up here at Bethel AME Church under the leadership of the late Rev W.E. McNealy.

Today, Derrick joins us to discuss Negro History Week – now Black History Month – its purpose in today’s society and where we are today. He will include his personal anecdotes and experiences.
