Unitarian Universalism lost one of its most beloved and respected ministers on January 21. The Rev. Clark Olsen answered the call from Martin Luther King Jr. to clergy across the country to come to Selma in March of 1965. As a result, he was one of three UU ministers walking together when they were attacked and their colleague, James Reeb, was murdered. The events of that time dramatically shaped the identity of Unitarian Universalism. We will honor Rev. Olsen, as we remember and look forward to how our legacy informs our future.
