I have been contemplating this passage from Romans 6:23 lately as it invites us to look at a sinful life leading to painful death in the New Testament but also of a free gift available to all people of faith- salvation. We will look at the modern meaning of sin, salvation and faith and how it applies to our current political and humanitarian situations. We will explore how it has changed over the millennia, in some cases how it has not changed much at all, and how we Unitarian Universalists can bolster ourselves around these topics to better understand our Judeo-Christian roots to make the world a better place through our deeds and actions.
